And as the race gets tighter, the polls from the battleground states become even more unpredictable. For example, last night I mentioned that my favorite Electoral Vote Prediction site was giving Ohio to Bush. Now it’s blue again. By tomorrow, it may switch again. And, with all the reports I’m already hearing about vote fraud and irregularities in Ohio, it may switch back and forth a few more times in the courts after tomorrow. But there are a couple of interesting tidbits to chew on tonight.

One is a recent Zogby poll of young cellphone users, that elusive demographic that the conventional telephone polls are supposedly missing. This poll favors Kerry over Bush, 55-40. I have a hard time getting enthusiastic about these results though, because I think the participation was somewhat skewed. The young people surveyed were participants in Rock the Vote Mobile, meaning they’re probably more politically active and aware than the average members of their age group. And I would naturally expect a group that’s more alert and aware to favor Kerry; it’s the moronic couch potatoes that have no clue what’s going on but might get off their fat asses to vote for Bush that bother me; and I doubt if RTVM reached them.

Another interesting tidbit that I learned tonight isn’t really news, but it’s news to me. I learned that the voting rights section of the Kentucky Constitution specifically denies “idiots and insane persons” the right to vote. If we could just get that enforced, Kerry could win Kentucky!

It’s probably silly to write anything about polls tonight, because by the time most people read this, we’ll be learning how right or wrong the polls were.
