‘Tis the Season

I just got some wonderful email from AT&T, which is apparently still my long-distance provider. I’d actually forgotten that.
I haven’t made an interstate phone call in so long that I don’t remember getting a bill from anybody.
They offer an interesting way to show people I care about them this holiday season:

With the holiday season upon us, it’s time to get back in touch with the people you care about most. With holiday e-cards from AT&T, it’s easy. Plus, every time you send a card, the recipient can receive up to 90 minutes of free AT&T residential long distance calling when they sign up for AT&T Online Billing

The old days of encouraging me to “reach out and touch” via long distance was a little corny, but this is beyond corny.
Instead of calling, I should send them an “e-card” which apparently contains an advertisement to sign up for AT&T service,
and probably gets their email address on an AT&T list for more spam. I can’t think of a better way to say “I love you.” I wonder if Hallmark feels threatened.

  1. I am not comenting on this subject but on the thing concerning fox hunting. I think that you are so wrong and that you have soaked up raw facts from family members etc. and that this is no longer your own veiw. I think you should rethink your comment and think about the future of foxs and wheather you want to be a part of it.
